Sally Hurman | Green Aventurine T-Bar Necklace
In January 2015, my husband Gav was diagnosed with incurable blood cancer.
He has Follicular Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, was treated with immunotherapy and has been in remission for nine years, thanks to his amazing team and the treatment he received.
I’m proud to be wearing my gorgeous necklace, which is raising funds for Blood Cancer UK with every piece sold, helping support more research and the search for cures, and helping patients and their families affected by blood cancer.
Sally is wearing the Green Avnturine T Bar Necklace in 18" Gold Plated
The Necklace
Aventurine brings a softer green to this T-bar necklace, with a natural shimmer that gives the polished stone more depth as it catches the light.
The clean bar shape keeps the look modern and unfussy, while the gemstone adds just enough colour to lift simple outfits. It works particularly well with cream, denim, navy and warm neutrals, where the green feels fresh without becoming too bright.
Available in sterling silver or 18ct gold-plated sterling silver, it looks polished worn alone and sits easily with finer chains if you prefer a layered look.

We want your jewellery to stay in great condition so you can enjoy it for years to come. With some simple steps you can help prolong the life of your pieces. Remove your jewellery daily, put it on as the last step when getting ready and the first thing you take off at the end of the day. Avoid spraying with perfume and contact with creams and lotions and do not wear in water. When not being worn jewellery can be prone to tarnishing if kept in an open atmosphere, so if you are not likely to wear for sometime, the best way to store is in a sealed bag. But if wearing regularly keep stored in our jewellery pouch or box.Read More

Our connection to Blood Cancer
The stories behind this edit are all different, but we’re all connected by blood cancer in some way. Each story is personal, and each chosen piece reflects something different about the person behind it.
A diagnosis of Hodgkin lymphoma in my early 30s was definitely not in my life plan, nor was the impact of treatment and the long recovery after transplant. Since then, Blood Cancer UK has remained an important part of my life through fundraising, campaigning and raising awareness.
Nellou came years later, but that experience has inevitably become part of the brand’s story too. Jewellery can feel personal for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes a piece simply speaks to you, and that idea sits at the heart of this edit.
To mark Blood Cancer Awareness Month this September, we invited four people with their own personal connection to blood cancer to choose the Nellou piece they were most naturally drawn to, and to share a little of their story and what made that particular design stand out to them.
Throughout September, we’ll donate 25% of every sale of their chosen designs to Blood Cancer UK, helping turn each purchase from the edit into support for the charity and the work it does for people affected by blood cancer.
